Beata Jałocha, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the Jagiellonian University, Faculty of Management and Social Communication. Her research focuses on project management, projectification processes, and participatory forms of collaboration (Action Research, Living Lab).

She is a graduate of the Jagiellonian University (Management and Marketing, Pedagogical Studies). She also studied at Grande École - Bordeaux École de Management in France (currently KEDGE Business School), and completed numerous courses, including a year-long business trainer school and a methodological internship in Participatory Action Research (City University of New York, USA). She is a graduate of the year-long postgraduate studies "School of Thinking," which she completed at the CLEA Center for Transdisciplinary Research at Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium.

Before starting work at the university, she gained practical business skills working in corporations (IT, outsourcing).

She was a scholarship holder of the program for outstanding young scientists of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (2019-2021). She was awarded the Emerald Literati Network Award (with Małgorzata Ćwikła) for the best scientific article published in the "International Journal of Managing Projects in Business" in 2016.

She is involved in numerous international scientific cooperation networks, including EURAM, AoM, IRSPM. She is a member of the Science of Science Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences for the term 2023-2026.

Professor Jałocha led and was a member of project teams funded by, among others, NCN, POWER, Leonardo da Vinci Transfer of Innovation. Currently, she is leading the flagship project Campus Living Lab.
