Ageing is a natural and irreversible process. It has been, is and probably will be, a cause of concern among us because of its association with decline and deterioration. Our body is affected but changes in other areas of functioning such as personal well-being, socialization and work are also involved. Does it affect learning?

Antonio Portela is an Associate Professor of Didactics and School Organisation at the Faculty of Education of the University of Murcia in Spain. His research focuses on school leadership and teacher professional development. He is currently a principal investigator of a research project on intergenerational professional development for teachers which is funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities.
