The department focuses on the following fields of research:
Theoretical bases of management sciences: organisation theory, methodology of management sciences - humanistic and economic aspects, and organisation and management in social policy.
Principles of management in the public sector: theory and practice of public management, models of public administration modernisation, principles of cooperation of public organisations with organisations from other sectors. Contemporary management issues: public organisation efficiency, shaping the competences of project managers, and healthcare management.
Management instruments: new instruments of public management, pro-social instruments of contemporary management, public e-administration, cross cultural management, instruments of communication in educational institutions, organisational innovations in public cultural institutions.
